The myth about ferrets smelling, that’s true. But I saw my dads friends ferret and it was all over me and I barely smelt it. I guess it’s just the smell you can handle.
Catfood is better for a dog than dogfood.

Yeah I love the smell of ferrets! Everytime i go to the petco near my house i always go to the ferrets cause i love them! I am getting a ferret next year for christmas cause i am trying to show my mom that im responsible before she gets me one and i have to say thank you to your videos for so much information! Thanks!!

My dog eats cat food too. The only reason I can think of is that cat food has more proteins and meat in it. It won’t hurt the dog as far as I know. Dogs are hardy enough because I live on a farm and my dog likes to eat (unfortunately) dead and rotting animals. They have tons of things that protect them from bacteria and all of that gross stuff. Cat food shouldn’t hurt him.

It is bad for them, my aunts a vet, and she said its bad because it had cat formula he needs dog formula or he’ll break alot of bones. and he will puke A LOT!!

Check your state and county laws on this. My dog’s vet looked at me like I was crazy when I asked If he gave rabies vaccinations for ferrets but it is the law in my area. Needless to say that my dog and my ferret do not see the same vet.
Yes. Ferrets rarely ever get rabies. BUT it is the law.
I was told that a ferret doesnt need a rabies vaxination if you never take them outside or don’t have any other animals in the house because theres no chance for them to get it. Do you think thats true?
Thanks for your comment! My dog really likes cat food… I don’t know why… but that’s all he eats, so I’m pretty sure it’s not bad for him otherwise he probably wouldn’t eat it. But there are many different kinds of cat food, so maybe it just depends.
ya my broters dog eatscat food (not soposed to) and throws up so it can be bad for some dogs and they are made with different stuff so not trying to make controversy with yor parents or any thing

Did you consider getting it from an animal shelter? The money will be going to a good cause and the ferret will already be social and loving. Plus it’s giving a poor animal another chance.
