How I Built My Own Ferret Cage

I found it really hard to find a good ferret cage. So built my own 
www.legalizeferrets.org www.nycferrets.com To answer a recurrent question: The units I bought were from target ($10-20 per box?), I can’t remember how many boxes I bought – three maybe? Cable ties to secure it cost me about $10.

This is neat, my brother and I are considering getting a ferret. I trying to find the best and cheapest way to get a cage, it’s hard to do with out sacrificing quality.

How do you get your ferrets to not poop/pee on the blankets??? Everytime I put anything in there cage they either pee or poop in it!?

hi i commented on ur vid a while ago on my other account and i said i was going to get a ferret. but i never did i got a puppy a yorkie but we might give him away to my dads boss.dont ask why we are going to give him away. so we are going to petsmart and see if they do training once a week for under 100 and if not mario is going to live with two other yorkies and i get the ferret. but my question is how do u NOT smell like a ferret

So It’s really similar to a C&C cage, like for guinea pigs? I could basically start out making a cage, as if for my piggies, then simply double over the grids? That’s a good idea! Also, the music was too amazing, I had to watch this again just to hear more of it.
PS- I dont have ferrets, and I wont even be able to get any for quite a few years (parents already had a cow about guinea pigs), so nobody needs to worry about ferret vs guinea wars.

i love the desing! great work. but one thing. you should have another 1 or 2 water bottles up stair so they dont have to go downstairs to get a drink while there chillin in there hammok lol 
and when there sleeping kuz it sucks to hae to go downstairs in the middle of the nite to get a drink lol but nice work

Genius! So much better than paying $100 + for a cage that manages to fall apart within a matter of a couple years.
@TheTaratee Whichevers cheaper, the cages or the cubes. I know ferrets can range from at least 50 at some places to 150.
@Ferretgirlvideo why did you stagger the cubes? do you have kits? because i dont think the ferrets could get out if they werent then you could make a bigger cage

@hollaythevampgurl123 ferrets are really expensive overall i know where im from the ferret alone is $150 and cages range from 120 to 225. i priced a cage like this one about a year ago and it was like 100 bucks to make from scratch
@DAVESTER178 you could use zip ties to hold it in place, theyre pretty cheap so when you have to clean the box out just cut em off and put new ones on some boxes have clips you could try one of those
